J. Craig Venter Institute (JCVI) is a nonprofit genomics research institute advancing foundational science through an interdisciplinary program spanning human genomics, microbiome research, bioinformatics, synthetic biology, infectious disease, and microbial and environmental genomics. Its mission is to deepen understanding of the biological world and develop insights into disease, health, and the environment. JCVI also supports science education and outreach, and engages in public policy work.
