Entry-level Electrical Designer supporting electrical system design, Revit modeling, project documentation, equipment layout, interdisciplinary coordination, specifications, and engineering calculations. The role develops foundational expertise in power distribution, lighting, grounding, fire alarm systems, and built-environment engineering while working under experienced project leads. Responsibilities include quality checking, client and team meeting participation, estimating task time, and collaborating across project sectors in a hybrid work environment.

Leads laboratory planning for medium- to large-scale architecture and engineering projects. Meets with users to define technical requirements, prepares programs, develops design proposals, coordinates multidisciplinary teams, conducts code research, reviews construction documents, and supports project pursuits. Advises teams on laboratory environments including teaching labs, cleanrooms, vivaria, technical labs, and related spaces. Contributes to planning standards, thought leadership, presentations, conferences, and equipment requirement documentation.

Lead and grow the ICT discipline across sectors: recruit and staff teams, set ICT standards and QA/QC/BIM practices, mentor staff, oversee project technical quality (serve as DPOR when appropriate), manage administration (timesheets, licensure, budgets), and represent HED externally to advance discipline excellence and firmwide consistency.
