Entry-level Electrical Designer supporting electrical system design, Revit modeling, project documentation, equipment layout, interdisciplinary coordination, specifications, and engineering calculations. The role develops foundational expertise in power distribution, lighting, grounding, fire alarm systems, and built-environment engineering while working under experienced project leads. Responsibilities include quality checking, client and team meeting participation, estimating task time, and collaborating across project sectors in a hybrid work environment.

Leads laboratory planning for medium- to large-scale architecture and engineering projects. Meets with users to define technical requirements, prepares programs, develops design proposals, coordinates multidisciplinary teams, conducts code research, reviews construction documents, and supports project pursuits. Advises teams on laboratory environments including teaching labs, cleanrooms, vivaria, technical labs, and related spaces. Lead and grow the ICT discipline across sectors: recruit and staff teams, set ICT standards and QA/QC/BIM practices, mentor staff, oversee project technical quality (serve as DPOR when appropriate), manage administration (timesheets, licensure, budgets), and represent HED externally to advance discipline excellence and firmwide consistency.

Lead Pre K-12 sector strategy and complex architectural projects as Principal-in-Charge, balancing ~50% project chargeability with business development, client relationship building, thought leadership, and mentorship. Drive design excellence, DEI and sustainability integration, and sector growth across regional markets while guiding mid-level staff and representing the firm at industry events.

Lead the Life Sciences design practice, set strategic vision and standards, drive business development, oversee design delivery for GMP-compliant biotech facilities, mentor and recruit technical teams, and manage sector financial and operational performance.

Lead technical delivery of PreK-12 and higher education projects from planning through construction. Manage project teams, coordinate consultants, ensure DSA and California code compliance, produce coordinated construction documents, oversee construction administration, serve as Architect of Record when designated, and mentor staff to maintain technical excellence.

Design and document electrical systems from concept through construction. Perform lighting and power calculations, short circuit studies, NEC compliance, Revit modeling, QA/QC, coordination with disciplines and consultants, RFI/submittal responses, field verification, and mentor junior staff while tracking project hours and supporting client interactions.

Lead multi-disciplinary A/E project teams for higher-education projects through programming, design, construction documents, bidding, and construction administration. Manage project plans, schedules, budgets, risk, contracts, staffing, quality reviews, client relationships, and post-construction evaluation. Support proposals, negotiate agreements, and coordinate with operations and business leaders to meet financial and strategic goals.
