Handle a diverse insurance defense caseload from early assessment through trial or resolution. Responsibilities include legal research, defense strategy, pleadings, discovery, motions, depositions, expert and witness preparation, trials, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and liability evaluations. Advise Claims and insureds, manage approximately 50–55 files independently, and collaborate with courts, opposing counsel, witnesses, and co-counsel. The role requires California licensure, significant litigation experience, and occasional in-person legal proceedings.

Manage an end-to-end California workers' compensation defense caseload: litigation, pleadings, discovery, depositions, hearings, trials, appeals, and lien strategy. Advise claims partners and insureds, develop case strategy, coordinate experts, use case management and legal research tools, mentor colleagues, and appear at WCAB venues as required. Primarily remote within California with periodic in-person appearances.

Handle a diverse caseload of auto and general liability defense matters from intake through trial. Develop defense strategy, draft pleadings and motions, take and defend depositions, work with experts, and represent clients at trials, hearings, mediations, and ADR. Advise Claims and insureds on liability/damages, manage caseload independently, and prioritize efficient resolution while maintaining high-quality client service.
