Teams at Empirical Security

Build scalable web applications, APIs, data pipelines, and data integrations for a cybersecurity platform. Responsibilities include architecting software for high-volume data environments, designing algorithms and data structures, optimizing storage and performance, maintaining coding standards, supporting analytics data systems, and collaborating across technical and non-technical teams throughout the product lifecycle.

Owns the end-to-end development of cybersecurity vulnerability and exploit prediction models, including problem framing, feature engineering, training, evaluation, deployment, calibration, monitoring, and drift detection. The role addresses extreme class imbalance, hierarchical modeling, cold-start customers, and uncertainty quantification. It also requires explaining model outputs to security executives, publishing methodologies and benchmarks, and partnering with engineering to deploy reliable production systems.

Own the technical side of enterprise sales: run demos, scope and execute proofs of value, write technical RFP/security responses, translate model outputs for practitioners, and liaise between customers and data science/product teams.
