Serves as a hands-on technical leader for emerging technology and AI experimentation. Designs prototypes, proofs of concept, pilots, integrations, and architecture evaluations; writes and reviews prototype code; troubleshoots complex technical issues; and develops reusable standards and recommendations. Collaborates with architecture, security, data, risk, legal, procurement, vendors, and delivery teams to transition validated concepts into scalable solutions. Mentors engineers and communicates findings, tradeoffs, risks, and adoption recommendations to technical and business stakeholders.

Handle a full inventory of complex litigated files in insurance defense, including discovery, arbitration, mediation and first-chair trials. Advise and mentor junior attorneys, prepare pleadings and motions, coordinate with claims specialists, and appear on behalf of the company. Work remotely (must be California-bar licensed), travel as needed for hearings/trials, and manage high-value cases with independent judgment.

Analyzes personal lines insurance and digital product performance using SQL, BI tools, statistical methods, and financial modeling. Partners with product, experience, actuarial, finance, and operations teams to identify growth opportunities, optimize digital customer experiences, assess risks, support business cases, and influence leadership decisions. Applies AI and automation to improve analytical efficiency, communicates insights through presentations and reports, and mentors colleagues.
