Designs, develops, and optimizes SQL Server databases supporting high-transaction applications in AWS and microservice architectures. Responsibilities include schema and data modeling, stored procedures, deployment scripts, indexing, performance troubleshooting, database maintenance, recovery, security, and data-layer architecture. The role serves as a database subject matter expert, prototypes cloud-native technologies, and collaborates with architects, developers, and DevOps teams.
