Teams at California Rural Legal Assistance, Inc.

Provide comprehensive civil legal services to low-income clients including advice, negotiation, litigation, and advocacy; supervise support staff; engage in statewide impact litigation and community education; collaborate with community partners; maintain case records and participate in trainings and task forces. Travel to courts in program counties as needed.

Provide full-scope post-conviction legal services focused on record clearing for low-income clients in Santa Barbara and Ventura counties. Conduct outreach, clinics, Know-Your-Rights presentations, intake and case management, file court documents, track hearings, train volunteers, coordinate with public defenders and partners, and support program evaluation and grant reporting.
