Responsibilities include core geometry, enrichment, reactivity control, depletion, kinetics, shutdown margins, criticality safety, source-term development, shielding design, dose mapping, radiation streaming analysis, and design-basis accident dose calculations. The role requires advanced nuclear engineering expertise, production experience with transport and depletion codes, regulatory knowledge, and collaboration in an on-site startup and active manufacturing environment.

Designs and tests mechanical components and subsystems for floating pressurized water reactors. Responsibilities include experimental test planning, component sizing, vendor collaboration, NX CAD modeling, drawing generation, and designing for marine conditions such as vibration, shock, corrosion, and thermal cycling. The role requires cross-functional collaboration across nuclear, thermal, software, and manufacturing teams in a hands-on, on-site environment.

Lead the probabilistic safety assessment for a first-of-its-kind floating 45 MWt PWR. Own PRA development, licensing basis events, SSC classification, defense-in-depth analysis, novel maritime hazard modeling, and regulatory engagement with the NRC. Collaborate across nuclear, naval architecture, structural, and maritime safety disciplines while establishing a PRA and classification framework for future fleet deployments.
