Leads reactor physics and radiation shielding for a marine compact PWR. Responsibilities include core geometry, enrichment, reactivity control, depletion, kinetics, shutdown margins, criticality safety, source-term development, shielding design, dose mapping, radiation streaming analysis, and design-basis accident dose calculations. The role requires advanced nuclear engineering expertise, production experience with transport and depletion codes, regulatory knowledge, and collaboration in an on-site startup and active manufacturing environment.

Designs and tests mechanical components and subsystems for floating pressurized water reactors. Responsibilities include experimental test planning, component sizing, vendor collaboration, NX CAD modeling, drawing generation, and designing for marine conditions such as vibration, shock, corrosion, and thermal cycling. The role requires cross-functional collaboration across nuclear, thermal, software, and manufacturing teams in a hands-on, on-site environment.

Lead the probabilistic safety assessment for a first-of-its-kind floating 45 MWt PWR. Own PRA development, licensing basis events, SSC classification, defense-in-depth analysis, novel maritime hazard modeling, and regulatory engagement with the NRC. Collaborate across nuclear, naval architecture, structural, and maritime safety disciplines while establishing a PRA and classification framework for future fleet deployments.

Build and lead BlueCore Energy’s finance function from the ground up. Own full-cycle accounting, monthly close, financial controls, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and audit readiness. Partner with the CEO on financial reporting, board materials, fundraising, and diligence packages. Track factory and barge capital expenditures, support cost accounting, manage vendor payments, and implement scalable accounting, expense, and ERP systems while ensuring GAAP and tax compliance.

Build and manage BlueCore Energy’s nuclear-qualified procurement and supplier network for floating PWRs. Responsibilities include translating engineering requirements into supplier specifications, vetting and auditing vendors, implementing an ERP system, negotiating contracts, controlling costs, establishing traceability and document systems, and managing commercial-grade dedication and counterfeit-parts controls. The role partners closely with engineering, quality, finance, and shipyard teams and is performed onsite in Long Beach, California.

Supports the CEO by managing calendars, inboxes, meetings, travel, expenses, agendas, briefing materials, and follow-ups. Coordinates schedules with internal teams, investors, regulators, partners, suppliers, marketing, and recruiting. Requires discretion, strong organization, written communication, proactive follow-through, and occasional travel. This is an on-site role in Long Beach at an early-stage clean energy hardware company.
