Teams at Barnard Construction Company, Inc.

Manages heavy-civil construction projects by directing project teams, controlling scope, schedules, budgets, approvals, compliance, and client communication. Provides training and mentoring, monitors milestones and project performance, and takes corrective action to keep projects on track. Requires extensive heavy-civil construction experience, leadership of project engineers, strong organizational skills, safety orientation, and the ability to work on construction sites in varied environments.

Supports heavy-civil construction project delivery through cost control, forecasting, pay estimates, change orders, RFIs, submittals, material deliveries, subcontractor and material contracts, and project scheduling. Works closely with project managers and field construction personnel while maintaining accurate project documentation and ensuring materials comply with contract requirements.

Provides leadership and oversight for construction safety programs across project jobsites. Responsibilities include enforcing safety policies, preparing safety plans and hazard analyses, delivering training, coordinating PPE and drug screening, conducting inspections, assisting with accident investigations, distributing safety documentation, tracking incident trends, and communicating with field crews, contractors, and clients. Requires domestic and international travel or relocation, physical jobsite work, OSHA knowledge, and strong communication skills.
