Axle Health Employee Perspectives

Tell us about your company's mission. How does that mission influence the company culture? Did that mission impact your decision to join the team?
Axle's mission addresses concrete, quantifiable problems; we’re optimizing logistics and driving efficiency for in-home healthcare providers. Clinicians using the Axle Health platform are able to see more patients while improving patient outcomes, creating a win-win for both healthcare providers and the families they serve.

Home healthcare is experiencing unprecedented growth, driven by demographic trends and changing preferences for care delivery. The U.S. home healthcare market is projected to grow from $107 billion in 2025 to $176 billion by 2032. Axle is addressing an urgent and timely need for technological advancement.

Solving complex operational problems alongside customers has helped sustain an engineering culture of collaboration and empathy — our product wasn't just built for the home healthcare ecosystem, it was built from within it.

We designed every feature from the ground up to improve collaboration between patients, clinicians and home health providers because we believe that better communication leads to better care. This collaborative mindset isn't just in our code, it's in our culture.

From your perspective, how does your work connect to the overall company mission?
During my four years at Google, I learned what it means to build complex systems that millions depend on daily. While the technical challenges were rewarding, I found myself searching for something more tangible and discovered Axle Health. I was immediately drawn to the mission.

Here, the code I write doesn't just impact the digital world but has directly impacted the lives of hundreds of thousands of patients and thousands of clinicians on a weekly basis.

My work always comes back to impact on patients. For example, an improvement to our route optimization algorithm increased the number of appointments scheduled for each clinician. And building distributed system data syncing with electronic medical record systems has enabled clinicians to enter data in a simpler and more reliable way, increasing the time they spend with patients and reducing the time spent documenting.

At Axle Health, technical excellence isn't just about elegant code, it's about ensuring a hospice aide can spend an extra moment comforting a family or helping a nurse see one more Medicare patient who’s depending on life-saving care.

What advice would you give a jobseeker hoping to join your company?
Anyone considering joining our team should identify with our mission in some part; whether that's improving complex field operations, empowering healthcare to be delivered at home or bringing new technology to this market. There are countless entry points to connect with what we do and during our interview process, we love discovering how your unique passions and experiences intersect with our mission.

We're a small, highly collaborative team tackling some of healthcare's most complex challenges. This means you'll have immediate impact and ownership from day one. The problems we're solving require creativity, technical excellence and a willingness to dive deep into the nuances of healthcare delivery.

If you thrive in environments where your work directly impacts real people, where collaboration is essential and where the pace of a high-growth startup energizes rather than overwhelms you, then Axle Health could be your next home. We're not just building software, we're building the future of how healthcare is delivered, one in-home visit at a time.
