Lead supplier quality management, PPAP submissions, supplier and internal QMS audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement. Leads the opto-mechanical design engineering department, managing, mentoring, and developing engineers. Oversees design projects, workload allocation, technical specifications, quality processes, documentation, manufacturability, and customer requirements. Provides hands-on opto-mechanical design and structural analysis support, contributes to proposals and business development, and coordinates interdisciplinary projects. Responsibilities include hiring, performance management, process improvement, technical planning, audits, and maintaining compliance with engineering standards and the quality management system.

Designs, analyzes, documents, and supports fabrication, assembly, integration, and testing of high-performance optical assemblies for aerospace and defense products. Leads optical sensitivity and Monte Carlo tolerance analyses, trade studies, metrology and alignment activities, technical reviews, supplier management, and manufacturing problem resolution. Provides expertise in optical materials, coatings, inspection standards, opto-mechanical systems, cleanroom processes, and imaging system performance.

Owns enterprise IFS architecture across Apps 10 and IFS Cloud, serving as design authority for configurations, integrations, reports, data models, security, and platform changes. Leads the IFS Centre of Excellence, Change Advisory Board, roadmap, and continuous improvement pipeline. Partners with IT, business, compliance, and vendors to support ERP transformation, cloud adoption, performance, lifecycle management, and regulatory alignment with CMMC, ITAR, and DCAA requirements.

Leads the design and development of complex optical, mechanical, and opto-mechanical components and assemblies for airborne and space platforms. Creates CAD models, drawings, procedures, tooling designs, and bills of materials; supports prototyping, manufacturing, testing, troubleshooting, and alignment. Provides technical guidance to program management and business development, resolves fabrication issues, evaluates manufacturability, conducts root-cause analysis, and improves designs and processes while meeting technical, cost, and configuration-control requirements.

Coordinates Quality Management System activities, including document control, calibration schedules and records, Material Review Board reviews, and quality document creation. Maintains compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100, customer requirements, and internal procedures. Supports audits, corrective actions, root cause analysis, and cross-functional quality initiatives while managing electronic records, external calibration providers, MRB documentation, and action-item tracking.

Leads multiple strategically significant aerospace, defense, or manufacturing programs from contract award through delivery. Owns scope, schedule, cost, risk, profitability, quality, customer relationships, proposals, IR&D, and CapEx initiatives. Coordinates engineering, procurement, quality, operations, and business development teams; manages contracts and changes; ensures production readiness and compliance; presents results to senior leadership; and mentors less experienced program professionals.

Design and implement precision automation tooling, robotic fixtures, opto-mechanical mounts, and positioning systems. Integrate sensors, actuators, electronics, and physical I/O into manufacturing equipment. Support laser and spectroscopy system assembly, alignment, testing, laser dicing, and pick-and-place workflows. Create SolidWorks models, drawings, assemblies, BOMs, and PDM records. Collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams on product development, sourcing, inspection, troubleshooting, and process optimization.
