Own turbomachinery hardware for nuclear reactors from concept through production. Lead design, analysis, manufacturing, testing, qualification, supplier coordination, requirements translation, verification planning, risk reduction, and technical issue resolution. Coordinate cross-functional engineering disciplines, investigate manufacturing and test issues, improve reliability and manufacturability, and communicate technical status to leadership.

Design, test, and integrate instrumentation, control, and power distribution systems for advanced nuclear microreactors. Responsibilities include developing schematics and wiring diagrams, reviewing electrical hardware designs, participating in technical design reviews and hazard analyses, supporting bench, HIL/HITL, and integration testing, and collaborating with systems, mechanical, software, licensing, and test teams. The role also contributes to safety-critical and regulatory documentation for DOE and NRC licensing.

Set up, operate, and troubleshoot multi-axis CNC mills and live-tooling lathes for R&D hardware and test fixtures. Monitor and replace cutting tools, deburr parts, document processes, and provide engineering feedback to improve manufacturability. Work with graphite, stainless steel, and high-temperature alloys while supporting dynamic schedules and critical development milestones.
