Lead Affirm’s zero-to-one product initiatives in partnership with the CEO and executive team. Own product vision, strategy, roadmap, discovery, prototyping, experimentation, launch, and iteration for new products and platforms. Analyze customer behavior, define success metrics, write product content, and coordinate engineering, design, data, risk, operations, revenue, legal, and compliance teams. This hands-on role has no direct people-management responsibilities and requires strong judgment in ambiguous environments.

Counsel II will negotiate and execute diverse vendor agreements, including technology, cloud, SaaS, marketing technology, data platform, contractor, lease, and payment processing contracts. The role partners with Procurement, Finance, Engineering, Product, Information Security, Privacy, and other teams; develops legal playbooks, templates, and training; improves contracting processes; manages high deal volume; and provides practical guidance on privacy, data protection, and commercial legal matters.

Manage commercial and vendor agreements, amendments, NDAs, legal intake, contract approvals, and cross-functional reviews. Maintain templates, playbooks, training materials, and knowledge resources while communicating contract risks and requirements to business partners. Identify process improvements, meet internal service-level agreements, manage competing priorities, and partner with Legal Operations, Finance, Procurement, and other teams. The role independently handles routine and moderately complex matters and supports attorneys with strategic negotiations.
