Manages accounting for affordable housing development projects from acquisition through construction. Responsibilities include preparing and tracking lender funding draws, monitoring total job costs, verifying lien releases, reconciling construction-in-progress and general ledger accounts, processing disbursements, preparing journal entries and audit schedules, and supporting external audits. The role collaborates with development staff, lenders, contractors, vendors, auditors, and accounts payable while managing multiple deadlines.

Responsible for full-cycle, multi-entity corporate accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, monthly and annual close, financial statements, consolidations, cost allocations, accounts payable oversight, audit support, grant accounting, budgeting, and process improvements. Provides technical guidance to junior accounting staff, maintains compliance with GAAP and nonprofit standards, and supports internal controls and regulatory reporting for an affordable housing organization.

Supports daily operations of a 120-unit residential property by handling clerical tasks, tenant files, applications, rent collections, move-ins and move-outs, recertifications, vendor and maintenance scheduling, inspections, work orders, supplies, and resident relations. Reports to the Community Manager and Regional Manager while assisting with compliance, communication, and special projects.
