VisionWave Holdings has announced plans to acquire Solar Drone, the autonomous robotics subsidiary of BladeRanger, marking the company’s first acquisition since its July de-SPAC transaction.

According to a statement by VisionWave, Solar Drone will strengthen its multidomain technology ecosystem by integrating autonomous systems capable of operating in high-risk or GPS-denied environments for uses ranging from border monitoring and perimeter protection to base security and tactical reconnaissance.

VisionWave added that Solar Drone’s technology will also enable it to enter the solar operations and maintenance robotics market by combining its automated cleaning and inspection capabilities to deliver large-scale solar field upkeep for global renewable energy assets.

As part of the transaction, VisionWave will issue BladeRanger 1.8 million shares of its VWAV common stock.
