Loot Crate announces limited edition crates ahead of Comic-Con

Loot Crate, the monthly subscription services that brings subscribers geeky goods, announced the company partnered with GamesRadar+ to offer limited edition Heroes and LOOT4FANGIRLS crates for Comic-Con attendees that stop by either company's exhibits. Rubicon Project, which operates one of the largest advertising marketplaces in the world, announced a partnership with cinema advertising leader Screenvision Media. Advanced Imaging Society (AIS), in an effort to accelerate virtual reality content production, announced the formation of The VR Society, a new division within the parent association. Disney announces accelerator class

Disney announced its 2016 Disney Accelerator class of nine companies this week. Two of the nine companies participating in the accelerator this year have local roots. Santa Monica-based Atom Tickets has had a big 2016 in terms of funding, and recently launched their movie ticketing and concession app over the Fourth of July. RealD makes acquisition
