LA tech companies are always on the lookout for fresh faces — and we’ve rounded up five that just might be the place for you. Read on for the deets on what they do, the perks they offer and the type of techies they’re looking to have join them.

What they do: Adtech giant OpenX has been helping publishers and advertisers reach their optimal audiences since the late 90s by providing a suite of tools designed to unlock informative insights. The company has raised more than $70 million in funding to date.

 

The perks: Game room, commuter benefits, meals, casual dress and happy hours.

What they do: Procore wants to help companies build better — literally. The company’s cloud-based construction management software helps their clients build everything from skyscrapers to hospitals. And, they’re mission-driven: Last March, they launched Procore.org which gives nonprofits, trade associations and universities access to its software for free.  

 

The perks: Onsite gym, wellness program, unlimited vacation, paid volunteer time, beer on tap and a pet-friendly office.

What they do: ChowNow empowers restaurants to better feed the masses thanks to its software suite, which is tailor-made to make even the most hectic kitchen run a little more smoothly. From helping customers order online or through Facebook to providing management tools and customer insights, ChowNow is helping to digitize the restaurant industry.

What they do: Virtual reality media company WITHIN is making storytelling much more immersive. The company works with VR content creators to tell stories about everything from climate change in Somalia to the evolution of dance in Cuba. Last year, they raised $40 million in funding.

What they do: Headspace wants you to breathe in — and breath out — a little more mindfully. The healthtech company’s signature app gives nearly 20 million folks across the globe access to a number of guided meditations designed to improve a host of health issues, from stress and anxiety to better sleep quality.

 

The perks: Tuition reimbursement, happy hours, free meals, casual dress, 401(k), wellness programs, fitness subsidies and commuter benefits.
