Final Boss Sour, a food innovator operating in the healthier snacking space, announced $4 million in Seed 2 funding from investors including GFR Fund and Uncommon Denominator. The company has a portfolio of retro gaming-themed snacks comprised of real fruit and no added sugars.

The company’s funding announcement coincides with the launch of its second line of snacks, the VIP Tropical Sampler Box. Made with dried pineapple, kiwi and mango, the product line introduces nine new characters, or “minibosses” for consumers to “defeat” by tackling their intensifying levels of sourness.

Final Boss Sour’s online follower community has grown to encompass more than 300,000 YouTube subscribers. As it aims to fuel engagement and accumulate organic views across TikTok and similar platforms, the company’s new round of funding will enable it to invest in content and creator partnerships. It will also support product innovation and expanded distribution.
