5 LA tech events to add to your calendar this week

In the wake of a raucously successful Top Companies Hiring: Silicon Beach, LA tech keeps on pushing ahead with another jam-packed week for tech events.

Tech Talk Tuesday November 2016, Nov. 8 at 11:45 a.m.

The Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce is holding an interesting function this week focusing on how iPhones can help businesses build their brand. Not iPhone apps, but their cameras, specifically. The meetup will discuss how businesses can utilize an iPhone's camera to help the company establish and build a brand identity in a way which is not only cost-effective but oddly personal as well.

Project Entrepreneur Summit | LA: Know Your Customer, Nov. 9 at 2 p.m.

Project Entrepreneur Summit | LA: Know Your Customer is an event dedicated to offering aspiring women entrepreneurs a chance to connect with some of the most innovative founders around. The workshop will feature Leura Fine of Laurel & WolfMoj Mahdara of Beautycon Media and many more.

Product School L.A. Launch Party, Nov. 9 at 7:30 p.m.

Head down to ROC Santa Monica for the official launch party for Product School LA. The company, which offers a product-focused (hence the name) curriculum has a number of well-known instructors on staff and will make a welcome addition to the LA tech community. 

Small Business Expo 2016 Los Angeles, Nov. 10 at 9:30 a.m.

In the age of the citizen entrepreneur, resources are everything, and one of the most wide-reaching such resources is a bit of a throwback: the traditional business expo. This week's event offers a great opportunity for entrepreneurs to connect with like-minded individuals, startup superstars and established business professionals alike.

Jennifer Puno on Building the Career She Wanted, Nov. 10 at 6:30 p.m.

Lumi, a company that helps startups facilitate their shipping practices, continues its series of events with special guest Jennifer Puno, founder of ilovecreatives and Map. Puno will discuss best practices in UX, branding and how to boost your online presence.
