Automation Platform ChipAgents Raises $21M Series A

The Southern California company aims to help hardware engineers leverage AI to save time and reduce costs.

ChipAgents, a Santa Barbara-based company specializing in electronic design automation, announced a $21 million Series A funding round. The oversubscribed raise was led by Bessemer Venture Partners and brings ChipAgents’ total funding to $24 million to date.

The company aims to help semiconductor engineers spend more time innovating by automating routine tasks, expediting design and verification and incorporating AI-native workflows into their processes. Its goal is to ensure the most complex aspects of hardware development are more intuitive and productive.

ChipAgents’ latest funding round follows a period of growth. The company recorded a 6,377 percent increase in monthly usage in the first half of 2025, and it has seen 50x year-over-year growth in annual recurring revenue during the beginning of its second year. ChipAgents will continue to advance its solution that helps hardware engineers expedite time-to-market and reduce costs.
