Mobile gaming company Scopely just reached a new high score, with a $200 million Series D.

The company announced the strategic financing on Tuesday. It said that the money will help fund its acquisition and investment strategy, as well as expand its portfolio of games.

Scopely is a mobile game publisher that is home to a handful of high-grossing titles like Star Trek Fleet Command, Looney Tunes World of Mayhem, WWE Champions 2019, Yahtzee With Buddies and more.

A number of these games are the result of acquisitions by Scopely. For example, Scopely acquired Digit Game Studios, which brought the company Star Trek Fleet Command — Scopely’s fastest-growing title ever, earning the company $100 million in less than a year.

This acquisition model has proven to be successful. Scopely passed $1 billion in lifetime revenue this past summer, and its valuation more than doubled since last year. Right now, Scopely’s valuation reportedly sits at $1.7 billion — making it one of LA’s few tech unicorns.

“With our business continuing to scale and the durability of our flagship properties, we are more bullish than ever on further expanding our portfolio through M&A. This funding round adds the financial support to pursue large-scale acquisition opportunities,” Scopely co-CEO Walter Driver said in a statement.

The Series D round was led by NewView Capital, with participation from the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board and Baillie Gifford. Scopely has raised a total of over $450 million in funding.
