What’s the coolest or most unique feature of your office? How does this reflect the culture of your company?
My favorite unique aspect of the Golden Hippo workspace is our private gym. Our office is a huge advocate for health and wellness. It’s fun to be able to sweat it out with coworkers before and after work or during our paid lunch hour, which is a great representation of the team-centered culture we have here. With Crossfit, strength training, Zumba, yoga and spin classes offered throughout the week, we always have options for a good workout!

What's your team’s favorite part of the office and why?
Here at Golden Hippo, we have a fantastic, fully stocked kitchen at our disposal. There are several refrigerators stocked daily with fresh ingredients, stoves, espresso machines and other appliances to cook up whatever you’re in the mood for that day. We love to make lunches together, and get inspiration from each other’s kitchen creations! The kitchen is just one of the many spaces at Golden Hippo that reflects the creativity of our office.
MediaCom understands that businesses of all shapes and sizes can use media to unlock new growth potential. From its Playa Vista office, the company deploys its so-called “Systems Thinking” approach to combine data, technology and creative energy to design sales-generating communication strategies.
In addition to the office itself, Digital Investment Associate Rick Koetter loves the parks surrounding MediaCom’s LA HQ.
What’s the coolest or most unique feature of your office? How does this reflect the culture of your company?
One important part of this office for me is the open-space floor plan and its large surrounding park campus. Not only has it inspired teams to connect face-to-face, but it has allowed all levels of skill sets — from assistant planners to senior partners — to work collaboratively to create impactful and imaginative business-oriented solutions in and out of the office. The surrounding park campus is another open business space, as this builds an identity for our company within the heart of Silicon Beach. With basketball courts, gyms, hammocks and dog parks, the area truly shows that we want to invest in unique spaces to inspire unique work.

What’s your team's favorite part of the office and why?
Our team’s favorite part of working in Silicon Beach is the surrounding campus facilities. There is never a lack of things to do or places to go. We work in a place where you can enjoy a stroll through the park, play a game of pickup basketball at lunch or lounge on a hammock to take a moment away from your screen. The team really enjoys the freedom that this facility offers — and having a dog-friendly office never brings a dull moment when working. The campus in Playa Vista is at the forefront of modern office buildings in LA. We couldn’t imagine working anywhere else.
Slickdeals operates a “crowdsourced shopping platform,” which is a flashy way of saying they bring 11 million users together to help one another find online shopping deals and coupons. From its Hollywood headquarters, the company has helped those users save more than $6 billion on everything from laptops to vintage vinyl.

What’s the coolest or most unique feature of your office? How does this reflect the culture of your company?
Our team is co-located between our LA and Vegas offices, but our corporate brand spreads across the locations to create a seamless experience for employees. From finishes across the offices such as fabric choices, colors and furniture to best-in-class technology resources for every employee, we work as an integrated team. Further, we followed the example set by our Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design-certified office building and took their approach to build out a sustainable office. We are currently a certified Green Business in Los Angeles.

What’s your team’s favorite part of the office and why?
My favorite thing about our office, and something we hear frequently from the team, is the amount of natural light and amazing views of Hollywood and Los Angeles from our entire office. While we are in a high-rise building in a city where space is at a premium, we have ample space for employees to relax and amenities that double up for events and office activities. This includes a large kitchen and break room, gaming lounge, additional lounge area and a dual phone booth that serves as a wellness room for overall mental health and nursing mothers. All of this is amplified by our four-legged pals who are welcome in our dog-friendly environment.
