Atom Tickets announces long-awaited launch

Atom Tickets, another pillar of the Santa Monica startup community, announced that after months of testing in smaller markets, the company is finally ready to launch. Taking advantage of the Fourth of July weekend, the mobile movie ticketing platform is now available at AMC and Regal theaters all over Southern California. [L.A. Business Journal]

 

CallFire and CFB Strategies partner to help nonprofits, political campaigns

CallFire, a Santa Monica-based software company that offers voice and text connectivity services via the cloud has partnered with CFB Strategies in order to power political campaigns and nonprofits. Financial details were not disclosed. According to the press release, the partnership enables CFB Strategies to leverage CallFire's Cloud Call Center, Voice Broadcast and SMS technologies in order provide campaigns with cost-effective voice and text solutions.[Press Release]

 

El Segundo's GoGuardian launches Fleet

Edtech company GoGuardian announced the release of its Chromebook management product Fleet this week. The company had more than 400 early users in 200 schools test the program's ability to manage, track and maintain 670,000 Chromebooks. ReachLocal Acquired for $156M

Woodland Hills-based ReachLocal, an online marketing company that helps small and medium sized businesses, was acquired by Gannett for $156 million. The move was made by Gannett in order to strengthen its digital growth efforts. [Press Release]
