We’re looking for a Technical Writer to join Team Snapchat! Working closely with the Information Security, Privacy, and Spam & Abuse teams, you will create a comprehensive set of internal documentation and help our external outreach efforts. Working from our Venice, CA headquarters, you’ll collaborate with engineers to create technical security and privacy guidance.
What you’ll do:
- Collaborate with engineers to write, edit, and maintain internal documentation
- Create the templates and framework for easy-to-read and find documentation
- Work with engineers to write white papers and collaborate with external Security, Trust and Privacy communities
- Invent new ways to convey complex information to a technical audience
What we’re looking for:
- 2+ years of experience as a hands-on technical writer
- BS/BA degree in Technical Writing, English, Computer Science, or similar field
- Experience with Confluence and Jira and/or a security background are a plus
- Self-directed and curious writer who works well with a variety of technologies and teams
- Excellent organizational and design skills
- A passion for Snapchat and creativity!
