Hyperloop One is seeking an experienced Stock Plan Administrator to manage the execution of Hyperloop One’s Equity Compensation Plan. This person would report to the Head of Finance and work very closely with the Accounting, Legal, Finance and Human Resources Departments, as well as outside legal providers.

We are looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented candidate with an equity administrative background, analytical mindset, and who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This position requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to work efficiently and in a timely manner, as well as collaboratively across organizational boundaries.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide equity option grant levels to HR, using pre-existing models to facilitate employment offers on a timely basis
  • Track equity offer rate and future hiring plan estimates vs. the availability remaining in the overall employee equity pool
  • Prepare option grant lists for approval by the Board of Directors on a regular basis and identify ways to continue streamlining this process across departments and legal service providers
  • Execute approved grants in eShares
  • Manage and accurately process regular and early exercises of options, being the main point of contact for exercising employees, as well as cancellations and repurchases
  • Manage any ad hoc needs related to eShares and special circumstances
  • Update and maintain the cap table, reconciling against board and stockholder resolutions and option paperwork as needed
  • In addition, you must be able to work independently, proactively identifying areas of need, generating action plans and developing & implementing effective processes.   • Drive all equity-related year-end communication and processes
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of individual and corporate level equity information

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business and/or Law
  • CEP designation and/or NASPP member preferred
  • Knowledge of 409A rules and ASC718 concepts
  • 5+ years of progressive Stock Plan Administration experience
  • Experience with employee equity administration, reporting, analytics, and modeling
  • Experience with U.S. federal and state taxation relating to equity compensation, as well as general knowledge of global taxation of equity compensation
  • Experience with equity compensation management systems, ideally including eShares
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat
  • Previous startup experience preferred
  • Meticulous attention to detail
