Sales Manager
EdgeCast is looking for a top performing Sales Manager to direct a rapidly growing Business Development team to achieve and exceed sales goals. This leader must be able to direct and inspire the work of others while giving direct daily performance coaching. The ideal candidate will have a verifiable track record of growing inside sales teams with individuals who produce $1M or more per person per year selling to mid and upper-level technology executives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales Performance
· Set and meet company sales and activity goals
· Lead individual and group performance by managing key metrics
· Motivate sales group through strategy, recognition, morale, and incentive systems
· Conduct call shadowing, feedback and performance improvement
· Hands-on assistance with deals
· Coordinate and work conferences/trade shows as needed
Sales Management
· Manage talent development (sales team hiring, recruiting, vacation and personal time, etc.)
· Oversee sales lead distribution, targeting and generation initiatives
· Conduct weekly sales coaching, training and guidance through team meetings and regular 1on1s
· Ensure consistent targeting, focusing sales team activities
· Manage individual and group sales pipeline development
· Cultivate structured and persistent selling skills among sales team
QUALIFICATIONS:
· BA/BS preferred
· 7-10 years of proven sales experience, with 2+ years of management experience preferred
· Reports to VP/Sales
· Proven expertise in selling information or technology-based products to business customers is highly desirable.
· Industry experience selling Content Delivery, Networking/Technology, or SAS solutions is preferred
