The Sales Intern, Specialty/Boutique will be a part of our larger Retail Sales team at Honest, which is focused on creating elevated, brand-building partnerships with retailers nationwide. Our Specialty and boutique retailers include Nordstrom, buybuyBABY, Bed Bath & Beyond, Babies “R” Us, the Military channel, as well as hundreds of independent boutiques across the country. The Specialty Channel contributes to Honest’s growth and success by creating unique retail experiences that elevate the Honest brand in consumers’ minds.

The Honest Internship Program takes place at our headquarters in Playa Vista. The program will run for 10 weeks from the beginning of June to mid-August, and is a paid, full-time, 40 hours/week program. Interns must be available for the full duration of the internship.

What you’ll do:

• Analyze sales data and performance of promotions across retailers to understand effectiveness of marketing initiatives and provide recommendations for future programs
• Assist in planning for business review and sell-in meetings with buyers, such as customizing brand sell-in decks for new launches and transitions
• Assist in planning major in-store events and Shop-in-Shop launches
• Assist in the creation of creative assets by submitting creative briefs and Jira tickets, and work with the creative team to secure assets
• Process invoices, chargebacks and POs
• Track marketing/trade spend and update budget accordingly
• Submit internal order forms to order products and/or samples for buyer meetings, training, events, feeding rooms, etc.
• Assist with New Item paperwork

What you’ll need:

• Must be currently enrolled in, or a recent grad of, an undergraduate program
• Proficiency in using MS Office programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Gmail / Gmail Calendar
• Knowledge of basic business math and metrics (ROI, sales lift, etc.)
• Basic understanding of retail marketing and marketing levers
• Ability to evaluate data and draw conclusions
