The Publisher Development Manager works to secure and support strong content relationships with great publishers.

Primary duties include:

  • Manage our current roster of publishers.
  • Identify and sign new publishers to license their content for FieldTest Marketing platform deployment.
  • Contract negotiation and closing skills.
  • Provide recommendations to internal stakeholders regarding product development and publisher needs.
  • Work with executive team and business development to determine content opportunities and priorities; follow up and close on publisher content to fulfill these needs.
  • Meet and exceed quarterly goals and quotas for total licensed content.

Additional duties include:

  • Create materials and assets designed to educate publishers and attract them to FieldTest.
  • Assist Sales and Accounts teams on specific and niche publisher needs for specific clients.
  • Oversee and approve publisher payments and invoicing process.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • The successful candidate will be an inspiring and confident leader with at least:
  • 2-4 years of publisher acquisition or publisher development at a digital media company, publisher network or ad agency
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating deals with major strategic publishers, mid-tail publishers, and networks.
  • Strong understanding of the digital media landscape, specifically knowledge of sponsored editorial, native advertising, native content
  • Proficiency with Excel, Powerpoint.

The successful candidate will also demonstrate the following abilities: 

  • Multi-Tasking: Proven ability to meet or exceed aggressive deadlines and manage and prioritize a high volume of projects simultaneously.
  • Communication (written & oral): Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish, develop and maintain business relationships. Must also have excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Proven Track Record: Have a successful work history in meeting deadlines and commitments.
  • Adaptability: Capable of adjusting to changing priorities.
  • Resourceful: Look for ways to achieve goals with available resources.
  • Team Player: Demonstrates a strong ability to establish collaborative relationships with peers and management.
