Post Production Editor

We’re looking for Post Production Editor to join Team Snap Inc.! You will play a key role in editing a wide variety of videos spanning the breadth of Snap Inc.’s products and services. Working from our Venice, CA headquarters, you’ll collaborate with the Creative Media Team to tell impactful stories that help shape the voice and identity of our products.
What you’ll do:
- Create compelling narrative content for internal and external projects
- Edit video, audio, photographic, and graphic content
- Log and organize footage and audio from shoots
- Reformat, compress, and transcode media
- Insert music, sound, or visual effects
- Reorder and tweak content to ensure logical sequencing and pacing of media
- Edit, style, and transform video and photos into creative stories consistent with the brand
- Collaborate with directors to achieve desired end result
- Work with engineering and marketing teams to publish and manage content on the platform efficiently
What we’re looking for:
- 4+ years of editing experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Visual Effects, Video Editing, or related field is preferred
- Experience with video editing, motion graphics, compositing, and sound editing
- Experience manipulating raw camera footage, dialogue, sound effects, graphics, and visual effects
- A creative mind who can select appropriate camera angles and takes to use
- Experience using several digital editing systems
- Ability to edit various kinds of short form content
- Someone who maintains a fun, creative, and collaborative mindset
- Strong knowledge of After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop, and Mocha
- Strong understanding of the concepts of planar tracking and matchmoving
- An understanding of compression and formatting for both video and still images
- A positive, self motivated person able to take direction and work within a team
- Motion Graphics and/or 3D modeling experience a plus, especially Maya
- Color grading experience is also a plus
