Learning & Development Specialist

The Learning and Development Specialist is responsible for developing, improving, measuring and deploying enterprise-wide development tools, technology, and programs in the areas of professional skills, leadership development and team development. This role partners with the Manager, Employee Learning and Development, employees and leadership within and outside of the People Ops team to design and develop engaging and experiential learning content focused on improving the whole life of an employee and contributing to the advancement of the business strategy. What You'll Do

  • Design & build instructor-led training programs – create and maintain scalable and engaging training content and supplemental resources, learning paths and facilitator guides
  • Research and review best practices and trends related to Learning + Development and our audience and summarizing for the team
  • Analyze data and support measurement processes for Learning + Development classes and curriculum
  • Prepare for training sessions for the Learning + Development team by ensuring that materials have been prepared and logistical information has been communicated appropriately
  • Facilitate instructor-led training as needed
  • Assist with onboarding new hires as needed
  • Ensure our learning repository is easy to search and up to date with the most relevant material
  • Provide guidance and input into the broader learning & development roadmap
  • Execute change management and communication strategies to roll out new tools and increase ongoing adoption

What You'll Need

  • 4-6 years of relevant Learning and Development or Training experience at a rapidly scaling tech company
  • Minimum 4 years of work experience with solid career progression in designing, developing, and delivering classroom training in the workplace
  • Strong knowledge of instructional theories: adult learning, on the job learning, knowledge management theories, principles in classroom instruction
  • Strong group facilitation and coaching skills
  • Impeccable presentation and communication skills
  • Quick and independent learner with new technologies, methods and work styles
  • Ability to work independently and deliver results with clear deadlines
  • Analytically driven; proficient with data-driven analysis
  • Comfortable operating in a constantly changing environment
  • Strong project management and time management skills
  • Exhibits a growth and results-oriented mindset
  • Lives and breathes the mission and values of the company
  • Experience in G-Suite
  • BA/BS in Communications, Organizational Psychology or relevant degree required, Masters would be a nice to have
