Job Summary:

Phunware is seeking a candidate hungry to enter the mobile advertising space and join our team to help drive new business. This is a high-energy position requiring persistent and persuasive interactions to drive meetings and close new advertising customers. Strong communication and sales skills are vital to the daily responsibilities of this role. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing and growing the sales pipeline.

Responsibilities:

  • Reach out to advertisers with the goal of creating new business opportunities.
  • Own the prospecting pipeline for new potential opportunities while working directly with the User Acquisition Managers and Senior team to facilitate new deals to close and complete onboarding.
  • Articulate Phunware's overall business objectives and value proposition to the advertising community
  • Ensure that the company is well-positioned against all competitors in the landscape
  • Represent the company at events/shows and conferences to gather information, promote products, expand network of contacts and increase knowledge

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a college or university
  • Experience in a sales role and desire to grow a career in sales
  • Excellent organization and persistent mindset to constantly prospect and hunt for new business
  • Competitive attitude and hunger to exceed targets and goals
  • Comfortable working under a base salary + variable compensation structure with total target compensation correlated to sales performance
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability and attention to detail
  • Effective presentation and negotiation skills
  • Energetic and enthusiastic team player
  • All levels of experience welcome to apply
Desirables:
  • Background in sales and experience closing new business
  • Experience using Salesforce or managing a sales cycle
  • Track record of success in a start-up or high-growth environment
