 Overview:

The CO-OP Specialist is responsible for generating revenue growth utilizing manufacturer CO-OP funds and programs.  The Specialist will work directly with sales on new prospects and existing clients in the categories of Auto and Retail. 

Responsibilities include introducing, developing, executing and maintaining a successful revenue-producing CO-OP Advertising Sales Department. Responsible in the education of our full service CO-OP solutions, CO-OP programs and claim processes across all sales channels and extending this education to our Account Executives, their clients and prospects.

Responsibilities:
  • Build manufacturer relationships to proactively develop and create customized, consultative, solutions & initiatives to meet manufacturer needs and grow revenue. 
  • Identify opportunities to connect National Manufacturer CO-OP funds to retailers on a local level. 
  • Provides above information and details to LA Times sales in Automotive and Retail categories to aid in closing new business and slow declining revenues of existing clients.
  • Coordinates across other Tribune properties on opportunities, success and strategies to increase CO-OP participation and revenues.
  • Tracking CO-OP funds, ad copy approvals.
  • Supervises CO-Op Coordinators for monthly billing and reimbursement of manufacturer CO-OP funds, Market Development Funds (MDF) and Product Development Funds (PDF).
  • Provide credible, accurate forecasting and tracking of CO-OP revenues.
Qualifications:
  • AA degree or equivalent Co-Op experience is required
  • 3-5 years experience in a fast-paced, sales environment with Co-Op knowledge
  • Excellent track record on meeting and exceeding revenue goal in previous CO-OP field
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills who demonstrates success in prioritizing workload and meeting deadlines for multiple projects.
  • A thorough knowledge Co-Op tools and daily usage of Microsoft Word and Excel
