Content Editor
Job Description
Centerfield is offering you the chance to showcase quick reading, grammatical chops, and an eye for detail. You will recruit and provide editorial support to designated writers and contractors to contribute to the overall achievement of company objectives. The Content Editor will engage in key activities including curating content for Centerfield’s portfolio of owned and operated websites. In addition, you will be communicating information internally to colleagues, overseeing the processing of invoices, managing content creators, and updating website content. This position requires a strong orientation towards business and management skills.
Responsibilities
- Sourcing and coordinating content creators for Centerfield properties.
- Proofreading content for online publication.
- Balancing editorial standards with expected review times.
Skills/Attributes Required
- 1- 3 years of relevant experience in editing and curating articles for publication.
- Strong understanding of web writing principles.
- Superior communication skills (written and verbal), interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a collaborative start-up environment that smartly and quickly delivers new features to market, are low on ego and high on desire to win.
- Proven ability to build consensus and work effectively within a cross-departmental team.
- Ability to work with little supervision.
- The ability to successfully work on multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.
- Proven results-oriented person with a focus on attention to detail.
