Accounting & Billing Specialist

We are looking for an ambitious, motivated Accounting and Billing Specialist to join our Finance and Accounting team! This role reports directly to the Senior Accountant, performing daily accounting, analysis, and customer service activities associated with the Accounting and Accounts Receivable function. This is role has high visibility and large growth potential for a motivated individual. Must be comfortable working within a dynamic environment with rapid changes in requirements and direction.

What you'll do

Accounts Receivable and Billing

• Own the ServiceTitan billing and accounts receivable function, working cross-functionally across departments (Sales, Onboarding, Support, Success) to manage client accounts and address customer billing issues
• Charge manual sales invoices, follow up on collections and provide invoices when requested
• Approve, process and report on all credit and refund requests
• Manage customer billing information in Stripe (credit card, billing address) and investigate payment processing issues via Stripe, informing the appropriate representatives
• Follow-up on customer payment and billing issues through email or over the phone

General Accounting and Monthly Close

• Assist with monthly close procedures including preparation of journal entries and reconciliations
• Assist with preparation around A/R, A/P, payroll, employee reimbursements, & GL transactions
• Prepare financial support for financial, tax, and payroll audits
• Calculate monthly sales commissions and work with Sales Managers to resolve discrepancies

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting Finance, Business Administration or equivalent field
• Proficient understanding of accounting theory
• 2-4 years of relevant work experience
• Strong ability to meet deadlines and multi-task within a fast paced environment
• Superior communication skills and detail-oriented
• Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results
• Strong Excel and MS Office experience
• Experience working with an accounting software system
• CPA candidate - PREFERRED
• Intaact experience - PREFERRED
