Caplight is a market for institutional investors to trade derivatives on private company stock. What exactly does this mean? Our customers are private market investors (VCs, hedge funds, pension funds, family offices) who have invested millions (or even billions) of dollars into private companies. We enable these clients to trade their private company positions the same way they trade their public company positions, using tools like call options, put options, swaps, and futures.
