Own the architecture and technical direction of Metropolis Recognition Platform, including edge-to-cloud pipelines, identity resolution, real-time decisioning, privacy and consent models, observability, and progressive delivery. Lead cross-functional alignment across engineering, computer vision, data, security, platform teams, and partners. Establish RFCs, SLOs, testing standards, operational practices, and architectural best practices while mentoring engineers and managing high-scale distributed systems.

Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services in Java/Scala integrating hardware and ML. Implement gRPC APIs, use Redis/MySQL/PostgreSQL, deploy microservices on Kubernetes, and build event-driven pipelines with Kafka. Collaborate with hardware, ML, and operations teams to optimize performance, reliability, and scalability.

Design, build, and operate central cloud infrastructure on AWS; improve reliability, scalability, and automation; own CI/CD, observability (Datadog), and tooling; collaborate with engineering teams to deploy and secure services.
