We’re looking for a YouTube Video Content Strategist to drive Chime’s growth on one of the largest search platforms in the world. In this role, you’ll lead the strategy behind the videos we create—focusing on discoverability, audience intent, and organic performance. You’ll work closely with partners across Creative, SEO, Paid Media, Brand Marketing, Product Marketing, and Consumer Insights to develop compelling, search-informed content that helps new audiences find and connect with Chime. With support from team members who manage publishing and optimization, you’ll stay focused on what we make—and why—with an eye toward formats, topics, and trends that help Chime show up and stand out.
The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $103,680 and go up to $144,000. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, a competitive equity package, and a full range of benefits. Final compensation may vary based on location, skills, and experience.
In this role, you can expect to- Own the YouTube content strategy with a focus on organic growth, visibility, and alignment with search behavior.
- Partner with SEO, Paid Media, Brand Marketing, Product Marketing, and Consumer Insights to identify opportunities for video content that meets audience intent across evergreen, trending, and intent-driven topics.
- Partner with our Channel Manager and Creative team to develop high-quality video content that’s optimized for discoverability, engagement, and long-term performance.
- Monitor YouTube trends, competitive activity, and platform signals to keep our strategy forward-looking and effective.
- Act on video performance insights (CTR, AVD, retention, traffic sources) to refine content direction and improve outcomes over time.
- Contribute to Chime’s broader organic growth strategy by ensuring video content is aligned with our AEO and search-led acquisition efforts.
- 5+ years of experience developing YouTube-first video content for consumer audiences.
- Deep understanding of YouTube as a search and discovery engine—including SEO fundamentals, user behavior, and content lifecycle.
- A track record of building content that drives measurable audience growth and engagement.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams including creatives, producers, analysts, and marketers to bring content strategies to life.
- Comfort acting on performance data to guide strategy and creative direction.
- Curiosity, agility, and a passion for helping audiences find what matters.
