About Our Client

A leading design and technology platform with a simple but ambitious mission: to make design more accessible to everyone. Their tools help teams bring ideas to life, from early brainstorming and prototyping to building and refining products in real time.

At their core, they believe design is more than how something looks. It’s how it works, how it feels, and how it comes together. Their work sits at the intersection of craft, creativity, and collaboration, helping teams think more clearly, move faster, and build better things together.

They care deeply about the creative community and are constantly evolving, with a culture grounded in curiosity, high standards, and learning from one another.

The Opportunity

As a YouTube Video Editor, you’ll shape raw footage into clear, engaging stories that feel intentional, thoughtful, and easy to follow. You’ll collaborate closely with producers, strategists, and creatives to bring ideas to life in a way that balances craft, clarity, and creative expression.

This role supports Figma’s YouTube content efforts, with Snowball serving as the creative partner leading strategy, creative development, and channel growth. You’ll work closely with Snowball’s YouTube experts (27M+ subscribers, 110B+ views) to refine storytelling, explore new formats, and help build a channel rooted in quality, curiosity, and creative depth. You’ll shape narrative flow, simplify complex ideas, and create content that feels intentional and engages audiences from start to finish.

What You’ll Do
  • Edit YouTube first, long form content with strong pacing, structure, and narrative clarity

  • Shape stories that feel cohesive and engaging, with a clear throughline from start to finish

  • Collaborate with producers and strategists to refine story structure, tone, and creative intent

  • Create short form cutdowns and variations that extend the life of core content

  • Use motion, graphics, and sound design to enhance clarity and bring ideas to life

  • Maintain organized workflows that support consistency, quality, and reliable delivery

What You Bring
  • 3–5+ years of professional video editing experience, with a strong portfolio of thoughtful, story driven work

  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and frame.io,

  • Strong storytelling instincts and an understanding of pacing, rhythm, and audience engagement

  • Experience editing educational, brand, or narrative driven content

  • A detail oriented and collaborative approach, with comfort working in fast moving creative environments

  • An interest in design, creativity, or tools that support how people build and express ideas

  • Bonus: Experience with Adobe AfterEffects and editing for technology, design, or SaaS brands

Our Values
  • Work hard, learn harder

  • Be effectively proactive

  • Overdeliver for clients

  • Be kind by being clear

  • A+ players only

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
