About this Role

Fandom is growing! As a YouTube Audience Specialist, you’ll be at the center of our platform growth strategy – partnering with editorial, video, and branded teams to drive watch-time, subscriber growth, and performance across our YouTube channels (including GameSpot, TV Guide, Honest Trailers, and Fandom). You’ll work under the Content Operations team and report to the Manager, Content Ops, helping bring data-driven creativity and structure to how we grow fandom communities on YouTube.

You Will...
  • Own day-to-day optimization strategy across YouTube channels, including thumbnails, titles, metadata, and upload timing
  • Develop playbooks and guidance for content creators to boost discoverability and watch-time
  • Partner with editorial and video teams on planning, publishing cadence, and format-specific success drivers
  • Track key KPIs across channels and surface insights to improve retention, performance, by providing regular reports on video performance and suggesting improvements.
  • Benchmark competitor and platform trends to keep our content current and creator-friendly
  • Contribute to testing and experimentation roadmap (A/B testing, Shorts vs. longform, etc.)
  • Help evaluate branded/sponsored YouTube campaigns for best-in-class execution and post-campaign reporting

  • Subscriber and viewership growth shows consistent improvement across all managed channels
  • Uploads are timely, properly tagged, and reflect platform-specific best practices
  • Internal partners feel supported with actionable insights and guidance
  • Content strategy is responsive to performance trends and platform evolution
  • Tools, templates, and documentation are centralized for efficient channel management
You Have...
  • 3+ years working directly in YouTube channel management, digital video, or audience development
  • Strong familiarity with YouTube Studio, Creator Dashboard, and platform analytics
  • Background in entertainment, gaming, or pop culture-focused brands
  • Working knowledge of thumbnail creation, metadata structure, and SEO for YouTube
  • Experience with Shorts strategy and/or multi-format video publishing (e.g., longform, Shorts, Reels)
  • Proven ability to communicate performance insights across creative and technical teams
  • High attention to detail and comfort working in a fast-paced, multi-channel environment

  • Prior experience with influencer partnerships or content licensing
