Capital Group seeks a skilled writer with 2 to 3 years of experience in content marketing and creating high-quality customer service content. The ideal candidate should produce engaging and informative content aligned with our brand voice and messaging for investors and financial professionals. In this role, the candidate needs to be receptive to feedback and open to making edits to enhance content quality and meet business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop customer service content, including email, web, FAQs, help or how-to content that effectively addresses customer and financial advisor needs and inquiries.

  • Work closely with marketing and customer service teams to ensure all content is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with our brand voice and messaging.

  • Work in close collaboration with the copy editor, graphic designer and digital author to align compelling copy with complementary visuals, layout and technical execution.

  • Foster relationships with internal business stakeholders to help ensure messaging aligns with objectives and strategies.

  • Use performance and engagement metrics to assess and optimize the effectiveness of marketing materials for future campaigns.

  • Sees the bigger picture while managing the details — ensuring content is cohesive, consistent, and aligned across channels.

  • You have 2 to 3 years of copywriting experience; financial services; or related industry experience preferred, with a portfolio of writing samples that demonstrate strong writing skills or experience.

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in marketing, English, journalism, communications or related field.

  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write in a clear, concise and engaging manner.

  • You have an ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • You are organized and have a strong attention to detail.

  • You have familiarity with marketing concepts and digital channels, including email and web content and print materials.

  • You have foundational level of investment industry knowledge and an interest in building on that knowledge.

  • You are interested in being part of a marketing organization and support the customer service team, eager to learn about the needs of our audiences, and will use that information to develop and shape your content.

  • You thrive in team settings, have good interpersonal skills and experience working with internal stakeholders to develop content.

Los Angeles Base Salary Range: $108,135-$173,016

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
