About us
Legora is redefining how legal work gets done. Not built for lawyers, built with them. We work alongside the world's best legal teams — Cleary Gottlieb, Goodwin, Linklaters, Bird & Bird — who expect excellence, precision, and speed. We hold ourselves to the same bar.
We also partner with Ludvig Åberg and his caddie Joe Skovron. This is either a very natural extension of our brand or an excellent conversation starter at a client dinner. Possibly both. We have not fully resolved this question internally. We may never.
We believe the long game is the only game worth playing. In law. In golf. In life. This job posting is a direct expression of that belief. We stand by it.

The role

We are looking for the best golf-playing lawyer on the planet. The role is non-salaried. There is no equity. There is no health insurance, no pension contribution, and no 30-day performance review. We will cover your travel and accommodation costs, however. There is a tee time, and there is the conversation.

The Legora Invitational takes place in New York City on September 2nd, 2026. One winner joins us on the course — and at the table — for a day with some of the sharpest legal minds in the world and Ludvig Åberg. The agenda covers the future of law, the future of legal technology, and whatever happens when a badly judged approach shot becomes a full sidebar.

We are aware this is an unusual job posting.
What you'll do

  • Play golf at the Legora Invitational in New York City on September 2nd, 2026

  • Spend the day with leading lawyers and legal innovators. Talk about where the profession is going. Say something worth saying.

  • Make your case, in writing, for how Legora has changed the way you practice law. Specifics matter more than enthusiasm. We have seen a lot of enthusiasm.

  • Demonstrate your putting ability. Format is your choice. Judgment is ours. We will not be defining "demonstrate" further.

  • Tee off in-front of Ludvig Åberg, a professional golfer. No pressure.

Who you are

  • A practicing lawyer. Current and qualified. We will check.

  • A Legora user. This is non-negotiable and also fairly easy to verify, because we are an AI company.

  • A golfer. Self-assessed, but honestly assessed.

  • Someone with something to say about the future of law, and the game to back it up on the course. Both matter. Neither is optional.

How we'll evaluate you

Two criteria, weighted equally. There is no partial credit.

The Legora case. Tell us how you use Legora — specific workflows, real outcomes, honest reflection. We are not looking for a testimonial. We have plenty of those already. We are looking for the truth, which is more interesting and also harder to write.

The putting skills. Show us. The format is entirely up to you. We have received video submissions, written arguments, and at least one diagram. We remain open-minded.

This is an ongoing recruitment process. Apply now to avoid disappointment.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
