Morgan, we provide clients with legal, regulatory and tax information to explain the regulations that apply in each country where they operate their incentive plans. Equity Intelligence is an additional, optional service which complements the administration services provided by Workplace Solutions.
This is a client-facing role that combines legal and tax research, client relationship management, and commercial awareness. You'll work closely with internal teams across Product, Sales, Service Delivery and Finance to develop into a subject matter expert in global equity plan operations. You will report to a VP with many years' experience in the share plan industry and who will provide training and support to help you develop your expertise.
This department has an existing client base so you will be involved in client projects from day one. Over time, we intend to grow the team further and expand the client base.
Key Responsibilities
  • Client Relationship Management: Deliver high-quality, timely information to clients on global legal and tax considerations relating to employee share plans. Build trusted relationships with corporate clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Client Deliverables: Review share plan documentation and then use an industry-leading database to prepare tailored legal and tax reports and insights for client projects and global plan implementations.
  • Legal and Tax Research: Maintain knowledge of changes in relevant laws and regulations.
  • Ongoing Client Support: Work with clients to understand their business needs and provide additional support in a consultant-type role; assist clients throughout their annual plan cycle with ad-hoc queries and keep them aware of changes in global regulations.
  • Marketing: Assist with pitches to new clients and the department's overall marketing plan. Work with other departments to raise the department's profile and generate new opportunities.
  • Commercial Awareness: Support the development of client proposals and pricing models; collaborate with internal finance teams to ensure accurate and timely client billing.
  • Internal Collaboration: Partner with Product, Sales, and Operations teams to improve internal processes and product functionality relating to compliance and reporting. Work with colleagues responsible for each client's administration service in order to provide a joined-up offering to help clients operate their global plans.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute ideas for enhancing internal processes and the overall client experience.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Analytical thinker with the ability to interpret complex legal and tax concepts.
  • Strong commercial and organisational awareness, with the ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines.
  • Technically proficient, with strong Word, Excel and data management skills.
  • Collaborative team player who takes ownership and initiative.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in global legal and tax compliance or share plan administration.
  • Interest in executive compensation, share plan administration and global legal and tax regulations.
  • Degree in Law, Tax, Business, Finance, or a related discipline.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
