Working Capital Fund Financial Analyst (Operations) – ESAG

BizFirst is assisting our client with recruiting a full-time Working Capital Fund Financial Analyst (Operations) to support the Enterprise Space Activity Group (ESAG) initiative with the U.S. Space Force. Our client is a boutique consulting firm that employs professionals with niche expertise to help the federal government execute strategic initiatives, optimize financial processes, modernize operations, and deliver critical financial support to defense programs.

What You Will Do

In this role, you will serve as an operational financial analyst supporting the day-to-day execution and management of the Air Force Working Capital Fund (WCF). Your work will support tactical decision-making and financial reporting for enterprise-level Space Force programs. You will conduct analysis, manage transactions, monitor financial execution, and deliver insights to stakeholders responsible for sustaining operational readiness and mission effectiveness.


Responsibilities

  • Support daily financial management of Working Capital Fund accounts, ensuring alignment with operational priorities
  • Perform financial analysis to support execution tracking, variance analysis, and obligation/expenditure reviews
  • Prepare recurring financial reports and dashboards for senior stakeholders
  • Assist in the development of execution plans, forecasts, and performance metrics
  • Monitor transactions and coordinate with functional teams to resolve discrepancies or data gaps
  • Contribute to audit readiness and compliance with DoD financial management regulations
  • Interface with tools and platforms such as ADVANA, SharePoint, and standard DoD financial systems
  • Provide financial data and briefings that support operational decisions and resource planning
  • Collaborate with leadership and analysts across Air Force and Space Force organizations to ensure integrated financial operations

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree (any field)
  • Experience Requirements (one of the following):
    • 10 years of financial management experience in a Working Capital Fund (WCF) environment, OR
    • 5 years of WCF experience PLUS one of these credentials:
      • Masters in Business Administration (MBA)
      • Certified Defense Finance Manager (CDFM)
      • Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM)
      • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Preferred: DISA FAMIS experience.
  • Security Clearance: Secret or higher.
