Job Description

Join our dynamic team virtually, as a Workforce & Community Development Intern for Summer 2025 and beyond! This unpaid internship offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in workforce development and community engagement initiatives.

 

  • Assist in researching and analyzing local workforce trends and community needs
  • Support the development and implementation of workforce training programs
  • Collaborate with team members on community outreach and engagement projects
  • Help organize and coordinate community events and workshops
  • Contribute to the creation of marketing materials for workforce development initiatives
  • Assist in data collection and report preparation for various projects
  • Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions
  • Support social media efforts to promote workforce and community development programs
  • Conduct literature reviews on best practices in workforce development and community engagement
  • Assist in grant writing and funding research for community development projects
  • Help develop and maintain partnerships with local businesses and organizations
  • Support the creation and maintenance of databases for tracking program participants and outcomes
  • Assist in developing evaluation tools to measure the impact of workforce development programs
  • Contribute to the development of training materials and resources for program participants
  • Help coordinate virtual networking events for job seekers and employers

 

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration, Social Sciences, Community Development, or a related field
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent research and analytical abilities
  • Basic project management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with social media management is a plus
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Enthusiasm for workforce development and community engagement
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
