Your Opportunity as the Workday Lead Analyst - Talent, Performance & HCM

You will support HR systems – specifically Workday – with technical capability to configure, troubleshoot, and implement solutions to support the business.  As an individual contributor, you will collaborate with the HRIS team (analysts and partners), HR COEs and functional team members to deploy Workday projects for the Company.  You will ensure deliverables meet or exceed objectives, align with HR priorities, and integrate as appropriate with other technologies/solutions.

Location: Working Remote USA or Orrville, OH (hybrid work arrangement)

In this role you will:

  • While responsibilities can change over time to lead other Workday modules, the focus of this role is to lead the run model work across Workday Talent, Performance and HCM – with the direction of the HRIS Partner in these areas

  • Work closely with HRIS Partners on key business initiatives and strategies to enable new or existing Workday functionality

  • Manage projects end to end (Design/Plan/Configure/Test/Deliver) partnering with COEs for supported modules to ensure successful user experiences

  • Lead project management including establishing and communicating consistent process for prioritization of requests

  • Implement business process improvements for functional areas through discussion, facilitation, leveraging best practices, process modeling, etc.

  • Identify and solve problems – collaborating with internal teams and vendors, as appropriate

  • Challenge the status quo and offer insights and recommendations for improvement opportunities

  • Work within the HRIS team to create, promote, and lead the execution of quality standards, peer review, and documentation

  • Deliver reports for supported modules

  • Help lead change management for major functionality updates

  • Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with customers, stakeholders, and team members

  • Educate employees of system/data standards and best practices

  • Works independently, assisting team with special tasks such as the development and delivery of training and documentation 

  • Research and provide guidance on industry trends, upcoming releases, monitoring new and future functionality and partner with the HRIS Partner on a long-term Workday roadmap that will influence planning and future platform adoption

What we are looking for:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience

  • At least 3 years of experience working with Workday

  • 3+ years of experience working with HR systems & technology

  • Hands-on configuration experience with Workday system

  • Basic understanding of general HR processes, procedures, controls, regulations, and compliance requirements

  • Experience with Microsoft tools and applications

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail

  • Ability to work under significant pressure, multi-task, and meet deadlines

  • Ability to demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality and sensitivity to compliance-related matters

  • Ability to process complex information and identify solutions that meet both internal and business partner requirements

  • A sense of urgency in solving customer requests to ensure timely resolution

Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role (not required):

  • 5+ years of HR, IT or comparable experience in roles of increasing responsibility

  • Workday Talent, Performance and/or HCM module experience

  • Experience coordinating and/or managing HR technology projects
