Workday Extend Managers lead the Extend consulting team, ensuring delivery excellence, client satisfaction, and team development. They combine people management, delivery oversight, and strategic leadership to drive the practice forward.
Key Responsibilities

  • Client Portfolio Ownership: Own a portfolio of Extend clients, ensuring strategic oversight and consistent delivery excellence across all engagements.
  • Team Development: Develop, mentor, and empower a distributed team of Consultants and Architects, fostering career growth and technical expertise.
  • Practice Strategy: Influence practice direction by partnering with Integrations and Product leadership to shape and mature the Extend offering.
  • Delivery Oversight: Provide comprehensive oversight of project budgets, timelines, risks, and client communication.
  • Client Relationships: Lead escalation management, reinforcing confidence and strengthening long-term client relationships.
  • Business Development: Guide pre-sales strategy and proposal development to position the practice for sustained growth.
  • Methodology Improvement: Drive practice-wide improvements in methodology, tools, processes, and delivery standards.
  • Leadership Representation: Represent the Extend team in leadership forums and contribute to strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Ownership: Demonstrate self-driven initiative and the ability to connect day-to-day work to broader business, practice, and ecosystem goals to advance strategic outcomes ("Act like an owner").

Qualifications

  • Product Comfort: Senior level Consulting industry experience with Workday Extend and Orchestrations, as well as their associated ecosystems.
  • Team Management: Proven experience managing and developing remote or distributed consulting teams.
  • Stakeholder Management: Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strategic Acumen: Demonstrates the ability to connect day-to-day work to broader business goals and advance strategic outcomes.
  • Track Record: Proven track record of client success and practice growth.
  • Travel: Ability to meet travel requirements of up to 5% annually
