Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Word Processor II to support the preparation, editing, formatting, and maintenance of technical, administrative, and operational documents. The ideal candidate will possess strong document formatting skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to produce professional-quality materials in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Edit, proofread, and format technical and administrative documents to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Apply advanced word-processing functions to create and maintain professional documentation.
  • Standardize document layouts, headings, margins, spacing, numbering, and formatting.
  • Review and correct formatting issues, inconsistencies, and document discrepancies.
  • Transcribe and prepare technical, legal, scientific, or operational materials as needed.
  • Work with document originators to clarify missing information and resolve formatting concerns.
  • Maintain document revision records and support document management activities.
  • Assist with the preparation, duplication, distribution, and archival of materials.
  • Ensure documents comply with established quality and formatting standards.
  • Provide guidance and support on document preparation best practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Secret Security Clearance required.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word and other office productivity applications.
  • Excellent proofreading, editing, and formatting skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting government, defense, engineering, or technical environments.
  • Familiarity with document management systems and records management practices.
  • Experience formatting technical reports, manuals, procedures, or other professional documents.
  • Ability to review and improve document quality and consistency.
