Buck Mason is looking for a Jr. Art Director with a Graphic Design emphasis to join our growing Women’s team. The ideal candidate is a creative storyteller and strong digital communicator with exceptional taste and attention to detail. You bring an entrepreneurial mindset, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are eager to grow within a dynamic, evolving company. You have a love for American Classics and a passion for concepting and executing timeless, quality designs that embody the ethos of a California brand.
Responsibilities
- Develop graphic design concepts through research and creative exploration
- Own and execute innovative, editorial storytelling across print and digital mediums, including site updates, emails, social media, in-store, and packaging
- Manage multiple design projects, ensuring deadlines are met and progress is clearly communicated
- Produce new concepts to refine creative across all elements, including but not limited to—graphic design, art direction, and community collaborations
- Assist the lead Art Director with pre- and post-production for photoshoots, including research, concept, shotlists, retouching, and asset distribution
- Maintain accuracy and attention to detail throughout the creative and production process
- Collaborate cross-functionally with creative leads, design, visual merchandising, and marketing
- Reports to Women’s Art Director
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of relevant experience with an apparel-based brand
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, etc.)
- Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, illustration, and animation
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Passion for staying up-to-date with industry trends
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Sharp design sensibility and refined taste
- Experience with content creation and video production is a plus
